Designer Professional – Architecture

About the role

SOM in Dubai is looking for a Designer Professional – Architecture to join its collaborative practice. The role offers the chance to work on high‑profile projects, develop innovative design solutions and grow a thriving career within a globally recognised firm.

Key responsibilities

• Lead distinct portions of architectural projects with periodic supervision from senior leadership.
• Produce and coordinate presentation and contract deliverables, including diagrams, 3D models, drawings, renderings, physical models and animations.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams, consultants and clients through written, oral and visual means.
• Develop strong conceptual designs and integrate interdisciplinary criteria to advance project design.
• Collaborate critically with project, consultant and client teams, contributing to studio discussions.

Required profile

• Professional degree in Architecture or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience.
• Professional licensure process near completion; LEED accreditation preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Revit.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Proficiency in Rhino.
• Experience with parametric and rendering software.
• Competence in Adobe Suite.
• Familiarity with Google Workspace.
