Desktop Engineer – Abu Dhabi, UAE

About the role

Our Systems Engineering team is looking for a Desktop Engineer to provide end‑user IT support across macOS, Windows and Linux environments. You will handle incidents, problems and service requests via Slack, email, phone and in‑person, while contributing to the growth of our technology services in Abu Dhabi.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to and resolve support tickets for laptops, desktops, printers, scanners and network connectivity.
• Order, image, configure and deploy devices; manage inventory and device lifecycle.
• Assist users with Google Workspace, Slack, Office 365, Zoom and other collaboration tools.
• Perform basic Wi‑Fi and network troubleshooting; support CrowdStrike and security compliance.
• Handle employee onboarding/offboarding, documentation and knowledge‑base updates.
• Support A/V equipment, desk setups and office relocations.
• Manage iOS and Android devices through MDM platforms.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (or in progress) and 3+ years of relevant IT support experience.
• Strong customer‑service skills across phone, email and face‑to‑face interactions.
• Excellent communication, problem‑solving attitude and ability to work in a team.
• Relevant certifications (Microsoft, CompTIA, Cisco) are a plus.

• Basic networking concepts (DHCP, DNS, switching, Wi‑Fi).
• CrowdStrike administration and security monitoring.
• MDM platforms for iOS and Android.
• Scripting basics (Bash, Python).
• Ticketing systems (Jira, Asana).
• Identity management (FreeIPA, Google Workspace).
