Development Support Lead TEKLA

About the role

We are seeking a Development Support Lead – TEKLA to join a leading Oil & Gas organization in Dubai. The role focuses on driving technical standards, BIM integration, and custom Tekla development to support engineering, fabrication, and construction teams.

Key responsibilities

• Define and enforce technical standards, development protocols, and QA/QC procedures for all Tekla deliverables.
• Act as the primary technical liaison between the technical office, engineering, fabrication, and construction teams.
• Lead strategic planning to improve BIM and Tekla integration across the organization.
• Design, develop, and maintain custom Tekla tools, plugins, components, and automated workflows using Tekla Open API (C#).
• Guide implementation of parametric components, custom templates, intelligent drawings, and automated reporting.
• Oversee integration of Tekla with ERP, MIS, CNC fabrication systems, and other digital platforms.
• Organize and conduct internal training sessions and workshops on advanced Tekla and steel detailing workflows.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (mandatory).
• Minimum 8 years of experience in Tekla Structures development and structural steel engineering.
• Proven track record of leading Tekla support and development teams.
• Strong knowledge of steel fabrication practices, international detailing codes, and structural design standards.
