DevOps Engineer – CI/CD & Cloud Automation

About the role

Technology Innovation Institute is seeking a proactive DevOps Engineer to design, implement and maintain modern CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure. You will work closely with researchers and developers to ensure reliable, secure, and scalable software delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI or Jenkins.
• Drive GitOps practices with tools such as Argo CD or FluxCD for automated deployments.
• Manage and optimise Kubernetes clusters (EKS, self‑managed, or other distributions).
• Implement infrastructure as code with Terraform and configuration management with Ansible.
• Automate operational tasks using Bash scripting and other scripting languages.
• Collaborate with development teams to streamline software delivery workflows.
• Set up monitoring, logging and alerting using Prometheus, Grafana and ELK stacks.
• Manage AWS services (EC2, RDS, S3, IAM, VPC, EKS, etc.) and ensure system reliability, scalability and security.
• Troubleshoot production issues and contribute to continuous improvement of DevOps practices.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role.
• Strong hands‑on expertise with Kubernetes, GitOps workflows and CI/CD tools.
• Solid experience with Terraform, Ansible and Bash scripting.
• Deep knowledge of AWS cloud services and containerisation (Docker).
• Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana and ELK.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related STEM field; relevant certifications are a plus.
