Director – Automotive

About the role

The Director – Automotive will lead the performance of a leading UAE automotive group, overseeing new‑vehicle sales, aftersales, fleet & leasing, and used‑car operations. The role is responsible for driving top‑line growth, margin improvement and delivering a best‑in‑class customer experience across all brands and channels.

Key responsibilities

• Own the UAE automotive P&L, including revenue, gross profit, operating margin and working capital for all business lines.
• Set and monitor annual and multi‑year business plans per brand, taking corrective action to meet targets.
• Lead brand managers and showroom leaders to exceed sales, market‑share and CSI targets.
• Ensure brand standards in sales process, customer journey, facility presentation and digital experience.
• Oversee aftersales, parts and service operations to maximise retention, absorption and profitability.
• Drive service campaigns, loyalty programmes and digital service offerings.
• Collaborate with the fleet/leasing arm to grow corporate sales, government accounts and B2B partnerships.
• Act as senior interface with OEM regional offices, leading business reviews, target setting and incentive negotiations.
• Build a high‑performing leadership team, drive talent development and Emiratization goals, and ensure compliance with safety, quality and regulatory standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 180 months (15 years) of experience in automotive sales, aftersales or related business leadership.
• Proven track record of delivering revenue growth, margin improvement and superior customer experience.
• Strong commercial mindset with ability to shape strategy alongside OEM partners and executive leadership.
• Demonstrated ability to lead large, multi‑disciplinary teams and manage complex P&L responsibilities.
