Director, Data Privacy Officer

About the role

The Director – Data Privacy Officer will lead the design, rollout, governance and continuous improvement of AD Ports Group’s global data privacy programme. Reporting to senior leadership, this role ensures personal data is processed in compliance with GDPR and other applicable privacy laws across all jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement the enterprise‑wide data privacy strategy, governance model, policies, standards and controls.
• Act as the senior subject‑matter expert on GDPR and other privacy regulations, translating legal requirements into practical business controls.
• Advise the Chief Compliance Officer and senior executives on strategic initiatives, emerging privacy risks and regulatory obligations.
• Design, launch and mature global privacy governance forums, accountability structures, notices, reporting mechanisms and documentation.
• Oversee global rollout of privacy requirements, ensuring consistent implementation while respecting local legal nuances.
• Maintain records of processing activities, data inventories, retention standards and audit‑ready privacy controls.
• Lead privacy risk assessments, DPIAs, transfer impact assessments and embed privacy‑by‑design into projects, platforms and vendor onboarding.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience managing data privacy programmes in a global organization.
• Deep knowledge of GDPR and other international privacy laws.
• Proven ability to advise senior leadership and influence cross‑functional teams.
• Strong analytical and risk‑management skills.
