About the role

The Director of Digital Smart Cities Solutions will co‑lead the IT team, shaping strategy and delivering technical solutions that meet customer needs across the digital cluster. This senior position oversees performance, budget, and stakeholder relationships while driving operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Define squads’ strategies, vision, mission and goals to achieve technical results and cluster objectives.
• Direct the design and update of technical solutions that address customer requirements.
• Collaborate with architects to understand infrastructure changes and determine optimal implementation approaches.
• Set digital cluster business priorities, guide product owners, and make decisions on product lifecycle.
• Lead Quarterly Business Reviews for the tribe and manage external stakeholder expectations.
• Track squad performance through KPIs and resolve technical blockages.
• Conduct regular 1:1s, coach squad members and ensure financial targets are met.
• Design and maintain the technical roadmap, control budgets and recommend cost‑effective alternatives.
• Lead cross‑functional teams to streamline processes and implement best practices.
• Assess risks, develop mitigation strategies and report performance to senior management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
• Excellent command of English; Arabic is an added advantage.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in a similar senior IT leadership role.
