Director – EPC Projects, Abu Dhabi

About the role

The Director at NMDC Energy is a full‑time, on‑site leadership position based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The role oversees the strategic planning and execution of large EPC projects, ensuring they meet organisational goals, safety standards and client expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead cross‑functional engineering, procurement and construction teams and manage project budgets and resource allocation.
• Provide guidance on project prioritisation, risk management and operational improvements across EPC functions.
• Review project performance, support business development activities and engage with key clients and stakeholders.
• Mentor senior managers, promote a high‑performance culture and ensure compliance with local and international regulations, quality and sustainability standards.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in EPC, energy or heavy‑infrastructure sectors, overseeing large, complex projects.
• Strong strategic planning, business development and stakeholder‑management capabilities.
• Expertise in project governance, risk management, budgeting and resource optimisation.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business or related field; Master’s or MBA preferred.
• Experience working in the MENA region and commitment to HSEQ principles.
