Director - Internal Communication

About the role

The Department of Finance – Abu Dhabi seeks a Director of Internal Communication to connect employees with the organisation’s purpose, strengthen alignment, and enhance the employee experience across the department.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver purpose‑led communication strategies that showcase DoF’s impact.
• Lead high‑impact internal campaigns that align staff with organisational priorities and leadership vision.
• Partner closely with senior leadership to improve visibility, clarity, and engagement.
• Develop frameworks and tools that strengthen employee experience and organisational connection.
• Leverage insights and feedback to continuously optimise communication effectiveness.
• Introduce innovative, forward‑looking approaches, including the use of digital tools and emerging technologies.

Required profile

• 8–12 years of experience in internal communications, change management, or employee engagement.
• Proven ability to deliver strategic communications and alignment initiatives.
• Strong editorial judgement and storytelling skills.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in communications, media, public relations, or a related field.
