About the role

The Director of Investment Advisory will lead the private‑banking investment function in Dubai, shaping strategy, managing risk and delivering superior performance for high‑net‑worth clients.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to the regional strategic plan while upholding the highest control‑environment standards.
• Provide independent portfolio opinions aligned with the Bank’s House Views.
• Determine client risk appetite, investment preferences and return expectations in partnership with Relationship Managers.
• Collaborate with the IA Head of DIFC on product launches and client planning for tagged accounts.
• Utilise Portfolio Insight as a risk‑management and marketing tool to drive AuM and revenue growth.
• Promote strategic investment views, organise client seminars and deliver high‑quality advice.
• Build, lead and develop a world‑class team of Investment Advisors.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, external regulations and “Treat Clients Fairly” principles.
• Maintain accurate tagging in Tableau and use the Client Advisory Portal for suitability processes.
• Work closely with Wealth Management, product managers and stakeholders to create and review client‑centric solutions.

Required profile

• Senior leader with extensive experience in investment advisory within private banking.
• Strong understanding of regulatory risk, compliance and control frameworks.
• Proven ability to lead and develop high‑performing advisory teams.
• Excellent client relationship and stakeholder management skills.
• Strategic thinker capable of driving investment penetration and revenue growth.
