Director of Curriculum (Start Jan 2027)

About the role

GEMS Education is seeking an outstanding Director of Curriculum to join the leadership team of its School of Research and Innovation in Dubai. This senior position will start in January 2027 and is responsible for shaping a forward‑thinking, technology‑rich curriculum that supports personalised learning and holistic development across all year groups.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation and continuous improvement of curriculum, teaching, learning and assessment frameworks.
• Collaborate closely with the Principal, Senior Leadership Team and Lead Practitioners to ensure alignment with GEMS SRI’s vision.
• Ensure the curriculum is ambitious, innovative, inclusive and provides appropriate breadth, depth, challenge and progression for every learner.
• Provide strategic direction and quality assurance for curriculum development, integrating emerging technologies such as AI, robotics, VR/AR and Web3.
• Champion high standards of teaching and learning, fostering a culture of data‑informed practice and professional development.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in curriculum development within an international school setting.
• Strong strategic thinking with a track record of driving curriculum innovation.
• Deep understanding of personalised learning, inclusive education and technology‑enhanced pedagogy.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work with diverse stakeholders.

Required skills

• Experience integrating AI, robotics, VR/AR, Web3/blockchain, drones or autonomous vehicle concepts into curriculum.
• Knowledge of advanced Arabic provision and interdisciplinary program design.
