Director of Food & Beverage

About the role

Kempinski Hotels is seeking a dynamic Director of Food & Beverage to lead the F&B department at its flagship property in Dubai. The role is pivotal in driving revenue, ensuring operational excellence, and reinforcing Kempinski’s reputation as a hospitality leader.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain punctuality, professional appearance and adhere to Kempinski grooming standards.
• Provide exemplary service and ensure all team members follow the same standards.
• Develop and consolidate the annual department budget in collaboration with Finance.
• Prepare monthly income statements for each outlet and conduct performance meetings with outlet managers.
• Lead daily briefings with the Executive Chef and regular F&B department meetings.
• Enforce disciplinary actions in line with local legislation when necessary.
• Update departmental operation manuals annually.
• Source high‑quality products, build strong supplier partnerships and organise supplier visits.
• Monitor and improve quality and guest satisfaction using QA tools and surveys.
• Handle guest complaints promptly and courteously.
• Oversee all service periods (breakfast, lunch, dinner, lobby, banqueting, room service, bar) at least once a week.
• Prepare a yearly marketing plan with competitor analysis and trend review in cooperation with Sales & Marketing.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of senior‑level experience in Food & Beverage management within luxury hotels.
• Proven track record of budgeting, financial reporting and driving profitable growth.
• Strong leadership and team‑development skills, with the ability to motivate large, diverse teams.
• Excellent knowledge of food and beverage products, services and industry standards.
• Ability to work on‑site in Dubai and comply with local regulations.
