About the role

Our client, a leading PR and communications agency in the UAE, seeks an accomplished Director of PR to lead a strategic and highly sensitive government account. This senior, hands‑on role requires exceptional judgement, attention to detail, and confidence when engaging senior stakeholders and government authorities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and own the overall PR and communications strategy for a high‑profile government client.
• Act as a trusted senior advisor to key stakeholders and senior government representatives.
• Manage highly sensitive communications with discretion, accuracy, and sound judgement.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders, media, and relevant authorities.
• Provide strategic counsel, challenge assumptions, and take decisive stands when required.
• Lead, mentor, and manage the account team in a fast‑moving environment.
• Oversee corporate communications, reputation management, media relations, and strategic messaging.
• Ensure high standards of quality control and attention to detail across all communications.
• Anticipate reputational risks and deliver proactive communications advice.
• Collaborate with regional and global agency leadership on strategy and delivery.

Required profile

• Fluent in Arabic and excellent English communication skills.
• Strong PR agency background, preferably from a leading regional or global firm.
• Significant experience in the UAE PR and communications market.
• Proven track record managing government, semi‑government, or highly sensitive corporate accounts.
• Deep understanding of UAE and GCC media, corporate, and stakeholder landscapes.
• Expertise in corporate communications and reputation management.
• Confident, credible personality comfortable interacting with senior executives and officials.
