Director of Technical Services

About the role

The Director of Technical Services will represent Jumeirah’s Technical Services Department in the design, construction and hand‑over of new hotel properties across Asia, with a focus on mainland China. Based in Dubai, the role requires strong regional experience and the ability to guide projects from concept to operational readiness.

Key responsibilities

• Define hotel briefs and space allocation requirements.
• Assist in selecting consultants and professionals for development teams.
• Prepare area programmes and support project planning.
• Participate in coordination meetings with architects, interior designers, engineers and consultants.
• Provide Jumeirah Design Guidelines and review project concepts, master plans, site infrastructure, and architectural specifications.
• Coordinate interior design reviews, including décor schemes, furniture, equipment and signage.
• Review documentation across disciplines such as architecture, landscaping, kitchen design, laundry facilities, façade maintenance, HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, life‑safety, IT and security installations.
• Liaise continuously with owners, developers and consultants to ensure compliance with Jumeirah standards.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in hotel development projects in Asia, especially mainland China.
• Strong knowledge of hospitality design standards and international building codes.
• Proven ability to manage multi‑disciplinary teams and coordinate with external consultants.
• Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement.
