Director of Technology Governance & Assurance

About the role

The Director of Technology Governance & Assurance will join Majid Al Futtaim’s Technology leadership team in Dubai. Reporting to senior technology executives, the role is responsible for establishing and maintaining governance, risk and assurance practices across the group’s technology portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and enforce governance frameworks that meet internal and regulatory standards.
• Conduct regular audits and assessments to monitor compliance with technology policies.
• Identify, assess and mitigate IT risks through structured risk-management processes.
• Oversee vendor contracts, ensuring performance aligns with organisational expectations.
• Define and enforce demand, portfolio, vendor and financial control processes for MAF Technology.
• Implement quality assurance practices to uphold standards across technology initiatives.
• Forecast financial requirements for technology projects and monitor budget utilisation.
• Lead change-management activities to ensure smooth adoption of new initiatives.

Required profile

• 10-15 years of experience in PMO, governance, risk management or audit within a group technology environment.
• Proven leadership of complex, cross-functional projects and teams.
• Master’s or bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Relevant certifications such as CGEIT, CISA, CISM, PMP and ITIL.
