Director, Strategic Accounts (UAE & Oman)

About the role

Wood Mackenzie is seeking an experienced, commercially‑driven Director to lead its Strategic Accounts business across the UAE and Oman. The role will grow the consulting footprint with government entities, national oil companies and other local customers while leading the UAE‑based consulting team.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary client lead for strategic government and NOC relationships, developing and executing account strategies to increase revenue and influence.
• Originate, structure and negotiate major consulting engagements, ensuring commercial terms meet targets.
• Oversee delivery quality, guaranteeing measurable impact and adherence to Wood Mackenzie standards.
• Lead and mentor the UAE consulting team, fostering a high‑performing, collaborative culture.
• Represent Wood Mackenzie in industry forums, government engagements and global Strategic Accounts leadership meetings.

Required profile

• 12+ years of consulting, strategy or leadership experience in energy or natural resources, with a proven record of selling consulting projects in the Middle East.
• Deep knowledge of UAE and broader Middle East government procurement and public‑sector business culture.
• Cross‑sector expertise across hydrocarbons, power, renewables and mining, with strong commercial credibility.
• Demonstrated ability to achieve sales targets and close deals of $500K+ in complex public‑sector environments.
• Fluent in English; Arabic is optional. Established network with public‑sector decision‑makers and national companies.
