Director, Web Technologies

About the role

The Director of Web Technologies will lead the design, development, and maintenance of Atlantis Dubai’s web platforms, including websites, mobile apps, booking engine and payment gateways. Reporting to the VP of Information Technology, this senior leader ensures that digital solutions meet business objectives, deliver high performance and provide exceptional user experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and set direction for technology choices, best practices, and development methodologies.
• Develop and implement a long‑term web development strategy aligned with company goals.
• Manage and mentor a team of web developers, fostering collaboration and professional growth.
• Oversee multiple web development projects, ensuring timely and on‑budget delivery.
• Implement rigorous quality‑assurance processes to guarantee reliability, security, and performance.
• Define and maintain overall web architecture, selecting frameworks, tools, and platforms.
• Collaborate with marketing, product, and IT teams to integrate web applications across platforms.
• Enforce security best practices and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
• Manage the web technology budget and allocate resources effectively.
• Promote continuous improvement, innovation, and learning within the team.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading web development teams and delivering large‑scale digital projects.
• Strong leadership and people‑management skills, including mentoring and performance evaluation.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with marketing, product, IT and external vendors.
• Excellent communication and strategic planning capabilities.
