Document Controller – Interior Fit‑Out Projects

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Document Controller to join our interior fit‑out project team on an immediate basis. The role involves managing, tracking and maintaining all project documentation throughout the lifecycle, ensuring accuracy, compliance and timely communication with internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Control and administer all project documentation, including shop drawings, material submittals, RFIs and inspection requests.
• Maintain drawing and revision control, coordinate with consultants, clients and subcontractors.
• Support procurement by managing material submittals and related records.
• Ensure quality and compliance documentation meets ISO and regulatory standards.
• Prepare authority and regulatory submissions and track approvals.
• Generate project reports, manage close‑out and hand‑over documentation.
• Archive records in accordance with company procedures.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• 3‑5 years of document control experience in interior fit‑out, construction, joinery, MEP or similar project environments.
• Proven experience handling commercial, retail, hospitality, residential or office fit‑out projects, preferably in the UAE.
• Strong organizational, time‑management and analytical abilities.
• High level of confidentiality, integrity and professionalism.

Required skills

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Experience using ERP systems and Document Management Systems (DMS).
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD drawing documentation and revision control.
• Understanding of ISO documentation requirements and best practices in document control.
