Document Controller – Oil & Gas Projects

About the role

Wood is seeking an experienced Document Controller to join the ADNOC Offshore US Gas Cap Phase 1 project in Abu Dhabi. The role ensures that all project documentation is accurately managed, stored and distributed in line with company and client standards.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the project document control system according to Wood procedures and ADNOC requirements.
• Register, distribute, track and retrieve all project documents and transmittals.
• Liaise with project teams, contractors and clients to secure timely submission and receipt of documentation.
• Prepare transmittal logs, generate status reports and ensure document traceability.
• Securely store confidential records and support audits for QA/QC compliance.
• Train and mentor junior document controllers on established processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in document control on oil‑and‑gas or petrochemical projects.
• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
• Familiarity with ISO standards and major client documentation requirements.

Required skills

• Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS).
• Knowledge of ISO standards related to documentation.
