Document Controller – Site

About the role

James Cubitt & Partners is looking for an experienced Document Controller to join their Abu Dhabi team. The role focuses on managing all project documentation for engineering consultancy and construction supervision projects, ensuring documents are accurate, accessible, and properly tracked.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and control all project documents, including drawings, specifications, manuals, correspondence, and reports.
• Ensure documents are correctly marked, filed, and easily accessible to team members.
• Track document flow, issuing, distributing, and receiving documentation in a timely manner.
• Develop and maintain a document control system with numbering, filing, tracking, and distribution processes.
• Verify accuracy and completeness of documents before submission to clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Provide document control support to the project team and ensure documents are reviewed and approved according to procedures.
• Update document logs to track revisions, approvals, and submission status.
• Attend meetings, prepare minutes of meetings, and circulate them to participants.
• Liaise with engineers, architects, and project managers to ensure proper documentation flow and resolve discrepancies.
• Perform quality checks on all project documents and generate regular status reports for management.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of document control experience, preferably in construction or engineering environments.
• Experience with engineering consultancy projects in the UAE is mandatory.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
• Mid‑level career stage.
