Document Controller (UAE National) – Graduate Mechanical Engineer

About the role

Egis Group is looking for an organized UAE National Document Controller to join its Dubai project site. The role involves managing all project‑related documents, ensuring they meet company standards and regulatory requirements, and supporting quality‑assurance and ISO certification activities.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with Project Managers to implement proper document and drawing management.
• Maintain registers of drawings, NCRs, RFIs, and submittals, and monitor response times.
• Archive project directories, manage CD libraries and FTP sites for uploading/downloading documents.
• Issue design drawings to contractors, authorities and other stakeholders as directed.
• Operate document control software such as Aconex, Prolog or similar platforms.
• Assist administrative tasks, including printing, ordering stamps, and supporting the administrative assistant when needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Strong knowledge of UAE construction industry standards and regulations.
• Excellent data‑entry, record‑keeping and attention‑to‑detail.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with document control software (Aconex, Prolog).
• Advanced use of Microsoft Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience with FTP sites for document transfer.
• Familiarity with document management and archiving systems.
