Duty Manager – Front Office Operations

About the role

The Duty Manager will support the Front Office Manager in delivering exceptional guest experiences at Anantara The Palm Dubai Resort. This on‑site role ensures smooth daily operations, high service standards, and effective team leadership within the front office department.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Front Office Manager in overseeing daily front office activities and guest service delivery.
• Supervise, coach, and develop front office staff through training, performance monitoring, and ongoing support.
• Monitor arrivals, departures, VIP guests, special requests, and preferences to personalize guest experiences.
• Handle guest complaints and service recovery promptly, ensuring high satisfaction.
• Maintain compliance with hotel standards, policies, SOPs, health, safety, and security procedures.
• Coordinate with housekeeping, reservations, finance, F&B, guest relations, and other departments for seamless operations.
• Prepare shift handovers, operational reports, and communicate incidents or feedback to management.
• Support departmental administration, including budget monitoring, audits, and reporting.
• Act as shift leader in the absence of the Front Office Manager or Night Manager.

Required profile

• Proven experience in front office or hospitality operations, preferably in a luxury resort setting.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and team‑development abilities.
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills with a guest‑centric mindset.
• Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and maintain high service standards.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Property Management System (PMS) and hotel reservation processes.
