Duty Manager – Hotel Front Office

About the role

The Duty Manager will oversee the front office operations at Sofitel Dubai the Obelisk, ensuring guests receive prompt, courteous service and personalized attention. This role supports the Front Office Manager and collaborates with housekeeping, finance, and HR to deliver a seamless guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise front office staff to guarantee timely and friendly guest interactions.
• Control room availability, rates, and occupancy to maximize revenue while maintaining service standards.
• Coordinate with Housekeeping to ensure rooms are ready for arrival and uphold the “Room Ready on Arrival” policy.
• Approve upgrades and special amenities in the manager’s absence.
• Prepare work schedules and vacation plans based on occupancy forecasts and group bookings.
• Maintain lobby, reception, and VIP areas for cleanliness and orderliness.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of Opera PMS and Microsoft Office.
• Experience working in the UAE hospitality market and understanding of local culture.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
