Duty Manager

About the role

The Duty Manager oversees daily hotel operations during assigned shifts, ensuring all departments deliver high service standards and a seamless guest experience. Acting as the Manager on Duty, the role coordinates with Front Office, Housekeeping, F&B, Engineering, Security and other teams to address operational needs and support VIP arrivals and special occasions.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily hotel operations during assigned shifts and maintain high service standards.
• Act as Manager on Duty to ensure a seamless guest experience throughout the hotel.
• Handle guest requests, feedback, and complaints professionally and ensure timely resolution.
• Coordinate with Front Office, Housekeeping, F&B, Engineering, Security, and other departments to meet operational requirements.
• Monitor hotel presentation, cleanliness, service quality, and compliance with established standards.
• Support VIP arrivals, special occasions, and other guest requirements.
• Conduct regular operational checks and address any issues promptly.
• Lead, guide, and support colleagues during the shift to ensure efficient service delivery.
• Manage operational incidents and escalate significant matters to senior management when required.
• Ensure proper shift handovers, communication, and completion of daily reports.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Duty Manager, Assistant Front Office Manager, or similar role in a 5‑star hotel.
• Strong knowledge of hotel operations and luxury hospitality standards.
• Excellent guest service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong leadership, decision‑making, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Professional appearance and a positive, guest‑oriented approach.
• Excellent command of English; additional languages are an advantage.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
