Duty Technician Electrician – Hotel Engineering

About the role

Rixos Al Mairid is looking for a proactive Duty Technician Electrician to join its Engineering team. The role ensures reliable operation of all electrical systems throughout the hotel, supporting guest comfort and safety in line with Rixos standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on all electrical systems across the hotel complex.
• Execute electrical works to the highest professional and safety standards.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and technical issues.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and repair electrical equipment and installations.
• Support emergency response procedures and ensure compliance with fire and life‑safety standards.
• Maintain workshop inventory and control stock of materials.
• Contribute to energy‑saving and sustainability initiatives.
• Collaborate with all departments to ensure smooth hotel operations.

Required profile

• Diploma or Certificate in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, safety procedures, and preventive maintenance.
• Good English communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multicultural team.
• Flexibility to work rotating shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
