EAL English Teacher – K-12 (American Curriculum)

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic EAL English Teacher to join a growing private K-12 school in Abu Dhabi. The school follows the U.S. Common Core curriculum and serves primary Emirati students while integrating Islamic values.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver English lessons for kindergarten through grade 12, aligned with the American curriculum.
• Provide targeted support to students who need extra assistance in language acquisition.
• Maintain effective classroom management and a positive learning environment.
• Assess student progress and report outcomes to parents and school leadership.
• Collaborate with colleagues in Arabic, Islamic studies, and other subjects to ensure a cohesive educational experience.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education for kindergarten & primary levels, or a Bachelor’s in the relevant subject with an education specialization for middle & high school.
• Minimum two years of teaching experience in the same subject area, preferably with the American curriculum.
• International teaching experience is strongly preferred.
• Under 60 years of age to meet visa requirements.

Required skills

• Strong classroom management abilities.
• Excellent communication skills for supporting EAL learners.
• Familiarity with U.S. Common Core English standards.

• Three‑year renewable contract.
• Salary of 12,000‑14,000 AED per month, based on experience.
