Economic Advisor

About the role

The Economic Advisor will serve as a trusted strategic partner to senior leadership, providing insight on economic trends, policy implications, and market dynamics to support Dubai’s growth agenda and international expansion.

Key responsibilities

• Advise senior management on economic matters, aligning insights with Dubai’s D33 agenda and global positioning.
• Conduct in‑depth research on global and regional economic trends, trade flows, and sector developments.
• Develop economic reports, briefs, dashboards, and presentations for executive decision‑making.
• Support policy formulation and engage with government entities, international partners, and research institutions.
• Monitor market intelligence across 40+ international offices and provide forecasting and scenario‑planning inputs.
• Prepare high‑quality presentations, briefing notes, and reports for senior leadership.
• Build internal knowledge on economic trends and contribute to thought‑leadership publications.
• Integrate economic insights with national strategies such as D33 and UAE Centennial 2071.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Public Policy or related field (Master’s preferred, PhD a plus).
• 12–15 years of progressive experience in economic advisory, research, or policy roles.
• Proven experience working with senior executives and stakeholders.
• Background in government, international organisations, consulting firms or think‑tanks.
• Strong understanding of the UAE economic landscape and global macro‑economic trends.
