Editor – Communications & Media Relations

About the role

The Editor will drive the communication strategy for the organization, creating and managing English‑language content across press releases, speeches, interviews and promotional materials. You will act as the primary liaison with media outlets, ensuring consistent messaging and broad coverage of events and initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Implement communication and advertising plans aligned with the organization’s strategy.
• Draft all English content – press releases, speeches, quotes, interviews, and feature articles.
• Distribute press releases to local and regional media and maintain an up‑to‑date media list.
• Manage media relations, invite journalists to events, and monitor media coverage.
• Share media coverage internally and keep stakeholders informed.
• Maintain the communication department’s shared folder, archiving guidelines, photo libraries, press releases and videos.
• Develop and submit media lists and PR plans for each project.
• Coordinate with media agencies to ensure SLA compliance.
• Create web and social media content that follows each entity’s style guide.
• Draft, edit and coordinate editorial pieces and other promotional materials.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing or a related field.
• 1‑3 years of experience in PR, journalism or media communications.
• UAE nationality (required).
• Strong command of English writing and editing.
