EHS Officer - UAE National

About the role

As an EHS Officer based in Abu Dhabi, you will own the Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) plan for Siemens Energy’s UAE projects. Working closely with the EQS team, project managers, contractors and clients, you will ensure safe, compliant and efficient operations on‑site.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and continuously review the site HSE plan, adapting it to project changes and emerging risks.
• Prepare and deliver monthly HSE performance reports for the client and project management.
• Provide on‑site HSE expertise, advising engineers, subcontractors and project teams on best practices, regulatory requirements and risk mitigation.
• Lead toolbox talks and regular HSE meetings to promote safety awareness across the workforce.
• Conduct proactive site monitoring to identify unsafe practices, health or welfare gaps and intervene before incidents occur.
• Ensure compliance with QA procedures, statutory regulations and Siemens’ Business Conduct Guidelines.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, EHS or a related field.
• NEBOSH International General Certificate or NEBOSH Construction Certificate.
• Fresh graduate up to three years of hands‑on experience in HSE within a live project or construction environment.
• Strong knowledge of health, safety and environmental legislation and its practical application.
• Demonstrated leadership ability to drive site‑wide compliance and hold stakeholders accountable.
• Proactive, solution‑oriented mindset with experience in risk evaluation and continuous improvement.

Required skills

• Knowledge of UAE occupational health and safety regulations.
• Familiarity with risk assessment and mitigation techniques.
• Ability to produce clear HSE performance reports.
