EHSMS Manager – Environmental Health & Safety

About the role

The EHSMS Manager will lead the development, implementation and continuous improvement of the Environmental Health and Safety Management System for Anantara The Palm Dubai Resort. This role ensures compliance with local regulations and international standards while fostering a strong safety culture across the property.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the EHS Management System, ensuring alignment with UAE legislation, Dubai Municipality, Civil Defense, and ISO 14001 & 45001 standards.
• Lead internal audits, risk assessments, management reviews and corrective action processes.
• Investigate incidents, manage contractor safety, and oversee Permit‑to‑Work (PTW), Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
• Conduct inspections covering food safety, water quality, pool safety, pest control and safe working practices.
• Deliver safety inductions, emergency drills, first‑aid training and ongoing EHS education.
• Maintain EHS documentation, prepare monthly KPI reports and support ESG and sustainability initiatives.
• Drive programs to reduce energy, water and waste consumption.
• Coordinate safety committees and departmental safety representatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience in developing and implementing EHS management systems.
• Strong knowledge of UAE legislation, Dubai Municipality and Civil Defense requirements.
• Familiarity with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.
• Ability to lead audits, risk assessments and corrective action plans.
