Electrical Commissioning Engineer

About the role

Duncan & Ross Consulting is looking for an experienced Electrical Commissioning Engineer to join the Southeast Project in Abu Dhabi. You will lead the planning, coordination and execution of electrical commissioning activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications, HSE standards and international codes.

Key responsibilities

• Execute and coordinate electrical pre‑commissioning and commissioning on site.
• Review electrical drawings, specifications, datasheets and vendor documents.
• Collaborate with construction, engineering, vendors and other disciplines to confirm system readiness.
• Conduct inspection, testing and functional checks of electrical equipment.
• Support energisation, system handover and punch‑list clearance.
• Identify, troubleshoot and resolve commissioning issues.
• Maintain commissioning check‑sheets, test records and related documentation.
• Ensure all activities are performed safely and in line with approved procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in Oil & Gas, petrochemical or large‑scale industrial projects.
• Proven track record in electrical pre‑commissioning and site‑based commissioning.
• Strong ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical documents.
• Excellent coordination and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Good knowledge of HSE requirements and commissioning procedures.
