Electrical Design Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Electrical Design Engineer with 2–4 years of experience in infrastructure electrical design. The role involves designing MV/LV distribution networks and preparing technical documentation for projects in the UAE.

Key responsibilities

• Design electrical infrastructure systems, including MV/LV distribution networks and fibre optics where required.
• Prepare electrical drawings, load schedules, single‑line diagrams and technical reports.
• Perform calculations such as cable sizing, load flow, voltage drop and short‑circuit analysis using Siemens SINCAL or ETAP.
• Coordinate with civil, road, wet utility and telecom design teams and ensure compliance with UAE standards and authority requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• 2–4 years of experience in electrical design, preferably in an infrastructure consultancy.
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of MV/LV distribution systems and familiarity with UAE utility standards.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with Siemens SINCAL and/or ETAP.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD for electrical documentation.
• Ability to perform electrical calculations, cable sizing, load flow and voltage drop analysis.
• Knowledge of fibre optics infrastructure design is a plus.
