Electrical Engineer – MTU/Volvo Penta Power Systems

About the role

Al Masaood Bergum is looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead the design, commissioning and troubleshooting of MTU and Volvo Penta power systems. The successful candidate will manage multidisciplinary teams, ensure safety compliance and deliver high‑quality projects on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Perform loop checks, logic checks and programming of I/O, control functions, interlocks and operator interfaces.
• Prepare and review drawings, technical submittals, measurement logs, method statements and commissioning reports.
• Lead engineers and electricians through testing, installation and commissioning of MTU/Volvo Penta engines and associated control systems.
• Interpret panel wiring diagrams, P&ID, cable schedules and instrumentation logic diagrams.
• Conduct FMEA, root‑cause analysis and develop corrective action plans.
• Ensure health, safety, quality and environmental standards are met on site.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, including project management and commissioning.
• UAE driving licence preferred.
