Electrical Engineer – Quality Inspection & Auditing

About the role

The Electrical Engineer will join the B&I department of Bureau Veritas in Abu Dhabi, reporting to the MEP Manager. The role focuses on quality inspection, condition assessment and technical auditing of electrical, ELV and fire‑life‑safety (FLS) systems in building projects.

Key responsibilities

• Perform quality inspections and condition assessments of electrical installations, ELV and FLS systems to verify compliance with standards, specifications and regulations.
• Carry out technical audits, specialised studies and due‑diligence services, and prepare detailed technical reports for clients.
• Advise on specifications, visual inspection analyses and testing laboratory reports, supporting tender preparation and project review phases.
• Liaise with clients, designers and project managers, ensuring timely delivery of reports and contributing to commercial opportunities.

Required profile

• Engineering degree or graduate engineer training with at least 6 years of experience in electrical engineering for buildings.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, IEC, ACI, BS and local codes such as TAQA, and ability to produce technical reports in English.
• Familiarity with construction technology, building procedures and testing instrumentation.
