Electrical Engineer Trainee – Satellite Payload (UAE)

About the role

The Satellite Payload Electrical Engineer trainee will join the SAR Payload System Engineering team in Dubai. This full‑time position offers structured training under the UAE Technology Transfer program, giving hands‑on experience with satellite power, communication and control subsystems.

Key responsibilities

• Support design, analysis and testing of electrical subsystems for satellite payloads.
• Assist with power conditioning and distribution units, solar panels, batteries, wiring, harnesses and connectors.
• Perform electrical performance analyses, including power budgeting, load estimation and energy‑efficiency assessments.
• Conduct laboratory testing of electronic equipment and help implement test plans.
• Troubleshoot issues during Assembly, Integration and Test (AIT) activities.
• Prepare technical documentation such as test procedures, reports and engineering records.
• Develop knowledge of systems engineering and requirements management within a multidisciplinary team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or a related field.
• Internship, academic project or relevant work experience is advantageous.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication abilities.
• Curious, proactive, detail‑oriented and adaptable to fast‑paced environments.
• Willingness to travel internationally for medium‑ to long‑term assignments.
