Electrical Engineering Teacher

About the role

Gulf Education is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Teacher to join its Abu Dhabi campus. The role involves delivering vocational post‑secondary courses, integrating industry best practices, and supporting student development in a dynamic learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with Lead Teachers to design, deliver and continuously improve curriculum, teaching, learning and assessment strategies.
• Provide instruction across at least three specialist streams such as Electrical Installations, Electronics, Machine Design & Vibrations, or Air‑conditioning & Refrigeration.
• Utilise CAD and other relevant software to support practical laboratory sessions.
• Maintain quality assurance standards and assess student performance.
• Liaise with Student Counselors to communicate progress and address student needs.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of post‑secondary teaching experience, preferably in the UAE or Middle East.
• Three years of industry experience as a maintenance engineer or similar, with exposure to the Oil & Gas sector.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Teaching/Assessor qualification (e.g., PGCE, PTLLS, DTLLS, Cert.Ed) and assessor/internal verifier awards.
• Fluent written and spoken English; IELTS 7 required for non‑native speakers.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CAD software.
• Computer literacy (IC3 or ICDL certification preferred).
• Hands‑on experience in industrial maintenance and electrical installations.
