Electrical Inspector (QA/QC Engineer)

About the role

The Electrical Inspector will join the QA/QC Engineering Department of Bureau Veritas in Dubai, reporting to the Head of the Building & Infrastructure division. The role focuses on ensuring electrical works meet contractual, technical and quality standards throughout the construction lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Support development and implementation of the Project Quality Delivery Plan, integrating technical quality assurance, construction quality, fabrication quality, ITPs and inspections.
• Review contractor quality and testing submissions for contract compliance.
• Conduct surveillance of contractor activities to verify adherence to approved methods and materials.
• Provide guidance to the quality department and engineering staff on key issues.
• Assist senior staff in monitoring and closing non‑conformances.
• Report quality performance at construction meetings and ensure the approved PQP is executed on site.
• Inspect works against the latest approved drawings, specifications and project documents.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (preferably with a postgraduate degree in management).
• Minimum 8 years of QA/QC management experience in construction, preferably with consulting firms.
• Lead Auditor certification for ISO 9001 (2008 or higher) and training in QA/QC management.
• Fluent English; Arabic is a plus.
• Strong technical reporting skills in English.
