Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer

About the role

Target Engineering is seeking an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Engineer to join its Abu Dhabi team. The role involves coordinating all E&I engineering activities across the lifecycle of large‑scale EPC projects in the oil and gas sector, ensuring compliance with client specifications, ADNOC standards and international codes.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage Electrical & Instrumentation engineering work from concept through commissioning.
• Prepare, review and submit engineering deliverables, including single‑line diagrams, cable schedules, loop and wiring diagrams, instrument hook‑up and layout drawings.
• Develop and review method statements, risk assessments and technical procedures for construction and commissioning.
• Handle technical queries (TQs), comment close‑out and interface with vendors, consultants and ADNOC representatives.
• Review material submittals, datasheets and vendor documentation, ensuring conformity with project requirements.
• Collaborate with procurement, construction, QA/QC and commissioning teams to achieve seamless project execution.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in EPC projects within the oil & gas industry.
• Strong knowledge of ADNOC standards and project specifications.
• Proven ability to manage technical queries and close‑out comments.
• Excellent documentation and coordination skills.
