Electrical & Mechanical Engineering Operations Trainee – AWS Data Centers

About the role

AWS is offering a six‑month Electrical & Mechanical Engineering Operations Traineeship in its data centre facilities for UAE nationals. The programme provides hands‑on exposure to the systems that keep AWS cloud services running and may lead to a permanent engineering operations position.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the operation and maintenance of electrical and mechanical equipment such as diesel generators, switchgear, motors, pumps, cooling towers, air handling units and chillers.
• Perform troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis on building automation and power distribution systems.
• Support routine inspections, testing and preventive maintenance activities.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to ensure safety, reliability and efficiency of data‑centre infrastructure.

Required profile

• UAE national holding a valid family book.
• Willingness to work full‑time (40 hours/week) on a standard Monday‑Friday schedule, with potential shift, weekend and on‑call duties.
• Basic understanding of electrical and mechanical engineering concepts.
