Electrical Site Engineer

About the role

The Electrical Site Engineer will lead on‑site execution of electrical works for construction, power plant, and substation projects. The role involves coordinating installation, testing, and commissioning activities while ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily site activities, ensuring work follows approved plans and schedules.
• Lead and motivate site engineers, technicians, and labor crews to maintain productivity and quality.
• Allocate manpower, materials, and equipment efficiently.
• Track project milestones, monitor progress, and report status to senior management.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, monitor their performance, and ensure contractual compliance.
• Implement and enforce Quality Management Systems (QMS) and Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks throughout the lifecycle.

Required profile

• Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• 3 to 10 years of relevant experience in civil engineering, power plant, or electrical substation projects.
• Experience in Gulf countries or India is highly desirable.
• Proven supervisory or team‑lead experience on construction sites.

Required skills

• Electrical installation, cable laying, transformer erection, switchgear installation.
• Testing and commissioning of electrical systems.
• Interpretation of engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
• Quality Management Systems (QMS) implementation.
• Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) compliance.
• Risk management and mitigation.
