Electrical Site Manager

About the role

The Electrical Site Manager will lead all on‑site activities for Hitachi Energy projects in Abu Dhabi, ensuring cost‑effective delivery of construction, erection, commissioning and maintenance phases. You will act as the primary liaison between the customer, project team and local authorities, guaranteeing compliance with contract specifications, quality, schedule and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate on‑site activities with the project manager, allocating resources, equipment and milestones.
• Manage start‑up, construction, erection, testing and commissioning activities in line with contract requirements.
• Maintain relationships with customers, authorities, banks and suppliers to secure support for field operations.
• Develop and enforce a detailed Health & Safety plan for each work package, ensuring all personnel are trained on HSE policies.
• Oversee handling, storage and installation of Hitachi Energy equipment, including logistics and on‑site storage.
• Supervise subcontractors, monitor quality and progress, and ensure delivery dates are met.
• Control site costs, track actual spend against forecasts and estimate final costs.
• Manage petty cash and local purchasing within delegated limits.
• Maintain up‑to‑date documentation and ensure correct version control for construction records.

Required profile

• Minimum 96 months (8 years) of experience in electrical site management or related construction roles.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and coordinate with external stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of contract specifications, quality standards and safety regulations.
