Electrical Supervisor

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor to lead the execution of electrical works on our oil & gas and construction projects in Abu Dhabi. The role involves overseeing installation, testing and commissioning of power distribution systems while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise all electrical activities including lighting, power distribution, cable containment, laying, termination, earthing and lightning protection.
• Coordinate installation of distribution boards (DB, SMDB, MDB), transformers, generators, UPS systems and related equipment.
• Review approved drawings, specifications, method statements and material submittals before work commences.
• Allocate manpower, tools, materials and equipment according to daily priorities and monitor site progress against schedule.
• Collaborate with mechanical, civil, HVAC, plumbing, fire‑alarm and other discipline teams.
• Conduct inspections, ensure compliance with shop drawings, quality requirements and UAE regulations.
• Oversee testing, commissioning, fault identification and rectification of electrical systems.
• Prepare daily progress, manpower and material reports and maintain accurate records of work performed.
• Enforce HSE procedures, permit‑to‑work and toolbox‑talk instructions.
• Support snagging, de‑snagging, final inspection and project hand‑over activities.

Required profile

• Diploma or ITI qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in electrical MEP construction, preferably on commercial, residential, industrial or oil & gas projects in the UAE.
• Strong ability to supervise technicians, electricians, helpers and subcontractor personnel.

Required skills

• Interpretation of electrical drawings, single‑line diagrams, load and cable schedules.
• Proficiency with testing equipment and electrical installation methods.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and UAE electrical regulations.
