Electro-Optics Technician (Emirati Talent)

About the role

We are seeking an Electro‑Optics Technician to join our Abu Dhabi team. The role focuses on assembling, maintaining, and testing mechanical and optical sub‑assemblies for electro‑optical (EO) systems, ensuring they meet performance and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble and disassemble mechanical and optical sub‑assemblies, mount optical elements, and install them on optical benches.
• Perform basic troubleshooting of EO systems, including power supplies, optics, and control units.
• Carry out calibration, alignment, functional checks, and acceptance testing, including ESS testing and return‑to‑service activities.
• Operate standard alignment and test equipment such as autocollimators, interferometers, beam profilers, and spectrophotometers.
• Document maintenance activities, test results, and equipment usage in accordance with quality requirements.
• Follow safety procedures, cleanroom standards, and contamination control practices.
• Collaborate with senior technicians, engineers, and cross‑functional teams during integration and testing.

Required profile

• Diploma or college graduate in Electronics, Optics, Mechanical engineering, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of EO systems or optical components (training will be provided).
• Good manual dexterity, attention to detail, and advanced English proficiency.
• Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting.
• Knowledge of safety and cleanroom practices is preferred.
• Ability to work independently under guidance and as part of a team.
