Electroplating Engineer

About the role

The Electroplating Engineer will lead and optimise electroplating operations at Vertiv’s Dubai facility, ensuring high‑quality surface finishes while meeting production targets. The role combines hands‑on process control, troubleshooting, and collaboration with cross‑functional teams to sustain safe and efficient manufacturing.

Key responsibilities

• Manage electroplating baths, controlling chemistry, current density, temperature and coating thickness.
• Monitor daily production to guarantee compliance with quality standards and customer specifications.
• Diagnose plating defects, implement corrective and preventive actions, and document outcomes.
• Perform regular bath analysis, schedule replenishment and oversee maintenance activities.
• Drive process optimisation to increase productivity, reduce waste and lower chemical consumption.
• Coordinate with Quality, Production and Maintenance teams to resolve operational issues.
• Ensure adherence to safety, health and environmental regulations related to electroplating.
• Support audits, maintain documentation and contribute to standardisation efforts.
• Assist in new product trials, surface‑treatment development and operator training.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical, mechanical, metallurgical engineering or a related discipline.
• 3–5 years of hands‑on experience in electroplating or surface‑treatment environments, preferably in manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of electroplating chemistry, equipment and quality control methods.
• Familiarity with safety and environmental compliance standards.
• Excellent problem‑solving, analytical and communication abilities.
