ELV Technician – Security Systems (Dubai)

About the role

The ELV Technician will join Convergint’s security projects in Dubai, installing, maintaining and repairing low‑voltage security systems for commercial and high‑end residential clients. Reporting to the Project Engineer, the technician will travel to customer sites and ensure installations meet technical specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Install security system components such as cameras, motion detectors, electronic locks and printed circuit boards.
• Lay and terminate structured cabling for CCTV, access control and intrusion detection systems.
• Perform installation, testing and service of intrusion, CCTV and access control systems on site.
• Carry out minor carpentry, drilling and other hands‑on tasks required for successful installations.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, datasheets and work instructions.
• Collaborate closely with the Project Engineer and maintain safety best practices.

Required profile

• Minimum High School education; IT diploma or related certification is a plus.
• At least 2 years of experience in security services or ELV installations in the UAE.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Well‑organized with the ability to multitask.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Valid UAE driving licence is an advantage.
