Emergency Medical Technician – Advanced (UAE National Only)

About the role

The Advanced Emergency Medical Technician provides both basic and advanced life‑support care to patients at the scene of an emergency and during transport to the hospital. This role is dedicated to rapid assessment, treatment and safe conveyance of critically ill or injured individuals.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to emergency calls, drive the ambulance safely, and reach the patient in the shortest possible time.
• Perform patient assessment, interpret ECG results and determine the appropriate course of action.
• Provide advanced pre‑hospital care including AED/defibrillation, CPR, bleeding control, shock management and airway support.
• Insert peripheral IV lines, administer IV medications (excluding narcotics), crystalloid solutions, glucagon, activated charcoal, oral glucose and oxygen.
• Deliver emergency drugs such as sub‑cutaneous epinephrine, aspirin and sub‑lingual nitroglycerin.
• Maintain continuous communication with medical control, dispatchers and receiving facilities.
• Keep the ambulance, medical equipment and communication devices clean, disinfected and fully stocked.
• Assist other EMTs and paramedics in delivering efficient advanced life‑support care.

Required profile

• UAE national – the position is open to UAE citizens only.
• Valid Advanced EMT certification and a clean driving record.
• Ability to work in high‑stress, fast‑paced environments and make rapid clinical decisions.
• Physical fitness to perform rescues, extrications and prolonged patient care.
