Emergency Medicine Specialist – SEHA Clinics

About the role

The Emergency Medicine Specialist will deliver high‑quality clinical care within SEHA Clinics, supporting both inpatient and outpatient services. Working under the supervision of a Consultant Physician, you will ensure continuous medical coverage and contribute to the department’s performance and safety initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat patients according to best‑practice standards for emergency medicine.
• Supervise junior medical staff and share responsibility for their clinical decisions.
• Lead ward rounds, reassess patients regularly, and document care promptly.
• Participate in out‑of‑hours on‑call rota, covering evenings, nights, weekends and public holidays.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, other specialties and support services to plan holistic patient care.
• Support quality improvement, audit activities and incident reporting within the division.
• Engage in clinical research, publications and the education of junior staff.

Required profile

• Medical degree with full registration to practice in the UAE.
• Experience in emergency medicine, preferably in a hospital setting.
• Ability to work under supervision of a Consultant Physician and to supervise junior staff.
• Commitment to patient safety, quality improvement and continuous learning.

• Effective communication with patients, families and multidisciplinary teams.
