Engine Program Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Manager to lead our Engine Program, overseeing a team of propulsion engineers responsible for the operation and maintenance of Etihad’s diverse engine fleet. The role ensures compliance with OEM, airworthiness authority and Etihad maintenance program requirements while driving reliability and performance improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Provide cost‑effective engineering support for the Trent 7000, LEAP‑1A, V2500, GE90, GEnx and GP7200 engine fleet.
• Manage outsourced maintenance and engineering contracts, liaising with engine, APU and component OEMs.
• Lead investigations of in‑service events, delays and technical problems and implement corrective‑action programmes.
• Assess and apply Service Bulletins, Airworthiness Directives and related engineering orders, maintaining Part M continuing airworthiness compliance.
• Approve engine work‑scopes, coordinate shop visits, lease returns and spare‑parts availability.
• Provide troubleshooting assistance to the Maintenance Control Centre and analyse Engine Health Monitoring reports.
• Support other departments (Maintenance, Fleet Planning, Warranty, Contracts, Quality) on propulsion‑related issues and prepare business cases for capital projects.
• Participate in special projects and continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering, or ICAO Type II AME licence with approvals.
• Minimum 10 years of service technical support on aircraft engines, with experience on at least two of Etihad’s engine types.
• Proven leadership of engineering teams and strong stakeholder management.
