Engineer - Cloud Security Platforms

About the role

As an Engineer in the Cloud Security Platforms team at Al Futtaim Group, you will design, implement and maintain security tools across cloud and hybrid environments. The position focuses on operational support for firewalls, web application firewalls and native cloud security services while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day operational support for network firewalls, WAFs, cloud security groups and native cloud security services.
• Monitor, document and respond to security incidents, managing escalations as required.
• Maintain vulnerability management tools, apply updates, and assist in remediation efforts.
• Automate routine security tasks and help implement new security controls.
• Collaborate with InfraOps, DevOps, governance and business teams to embed security best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity or a related discipline.
• 1‑3 years of experience in IT security, network administration, cloud operations or a similar role.
• Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail and effective communication skills.

Required skills

• Cloud platforms: Azure, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Security services: Defender for Cloud, IAM, Security Groups, GuardDuty, Sentinel.
• Firewalls: Cisco, Palo Alto, Check Point, Fortinet.
• Web Application Firewalls: Cloudflare, F5, Imperva.
• Scripting/automation: Python, PowerShell, Terraform.
