Engineer I, SIL

About the role

AL TAIF TECHNICAL SERVICES LLC is seeking an Engineer I, SIL to support the design, development and documentation of electrical and electronic systems for land platforms and heavy utility vehicles. The role involves working closely with customers and senior engineers to deliver compliant, high‑quality solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate with customers to capture project requirements and translate them into functional specifications.
• Collaborate with other engineers to define system and subsystem interfaces.
• Develop design concepts, prototypes, and alternative solutions, conducting trade studies as needed.
• Create detailed drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs) and instruction manuals for each project.
• Evaluate supplier BOMs, assess design risks, and manage project schedules and man‑hours.
• Ensure all work follows ISO 9001, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards.
• Support testing activities and present designs at technical reviews.
• Maintain confidentiality and assist other engineering team members as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• 1‑3 years of experience in detailed design of electrical systems, hardware and software.
• Experience with automotive subsystems and, preferably, military ground vehicles.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.
